We are supporting a young mother with a disability who is doing her best to care for herself and her young son. She grew up in foster care and has no family support network, meaning she manages all aspects of parenting and daily life independently.
Her son also has a disability, and due to her own health needs and his additional care requirements, she is currently unable to work.
Her son is preparing to start prep next year — an exciting milestone, but also a source of financial and emotional stress. With the added costs of school supplies, uniforms, Christmas, and his upcoming birthday in January, she is struggling to make ends meet.
We are seeking support to help reduce the financial pressure and ensure her son has what he needs for a positive and confident start to school.
