Our clinic has 300-400 clients whom we usually host a Christmas lunch in December for the consumers. Our clients usually have severe mental health issues and are also battling other issues including financial difficulties, domestic violence, substance use, social isolation and housing instability. The Christmas lunch is a great opportunity for them to enjoy a nice meal and socially connect with others which help to create a sense of belonging. We also provide a small gift hamper for the clients who attend the lunch with self-care and non-perishable goods. The lunch is often the only social connection the client has and we completely rely on donations to fund the lunch and gift hamper.
We are kindly requesting:
- Coles or Woolworths vouchers to purchase food items for the Christmas lunch
- Kmart vouchers to create gift hampers for the clients
- Donations of self-care products (lotions, soap), canned/non-perishable goods (pasta, baked beans, pasta sauce, tuna)
