When families have been approved for private rental or community housing they are most of the time starting fresh as they have been in crisis accommodation or couch surfing for months. In this time, the families would have fled from family violence situations and have no belongings and needing to start again.
In this process, the families are needing pillows, sheets, blankets and doonas for their first nights in their new properties. After having paid for a large amount for this setup, families are often left without bedding to this exciting part of having their own place again.
