Our client is a 67-year-old First Nations grandmother who recently lost her home and all her belongings in a devastating fire. Everything she owned—furniture, clothing, family photos, and sacred items—was destroyed. At the same time, she is bravely battling breast cancer and has undergone surgery to remove one breast. Despite these hardships, she remains strong and resilient. She has now been approved for a one-bedroom home but has nothing to furnish it. She urgently needs basic household items such as a bed, bedding, furniture, fridge, washing machine and clothing to help her rebuild and heal in a safe, comfortable space
