Recipient story

Older lady has some hoarding and squaller issues and is open to supports with clearing her space
Flooding 2022
First Nations Support

This older lady lost some of her roofing in the 2022 disaster and has some considerable water damage in her house as a consequence. Her insurance company denied her claim and she had some temporary measures in place, however the cyclone further damaged the roof and it now needs to be replaced.
This lady still has furniture and belongings of her late husband who passed 17 years ago, as well as her late brothers belongings and has accumulated many items in the 20 years that she has been living in the house. Many of the household items have been damaged by the leaking roof. Repairs for the roof are in the works and she is ready to start to let go of some of the damaged items.
A hoarding removalist has been organised and your support with funding for this to happen would make a massive difference in this older ladies life so that she can start to move on with her life.
