Our client is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander with two young children, she has recently left a relationship where she experienced DV. She has moved into a new property in an area where she does not have her formal and informal supports readily available to her. She is low income and experiencing financial hardship, she is worried about how she will be able to afford Christmas this year. Due to the closure of many support services over the Christmas break, including community pantries, we are requesting support on her behalf.
