Spinal Cord Injury patient requesting voucher to furnish new accessible home
First Nations Support
Working alongside a patient with a newly acquired spinal cord injury resulting from pedestrian (patient) vs car in March. Patient has been in hospital since for rehabilitation however will require lifelong support and care. Patient is unable to return home and is needing to move into an accessible accommodation due to her injury. Patient has a history of transience and complex family and social dynamics with limited support. Patient is requesting assistance by way of vouchers to help her furnish and stock up her new home for groceries. We have applied for grants to also assist however these grants are limited and are not guaranteed.
