This resident is a homeowner but must pay a substantial mortgage repayment each month, because of paying out her ex-partner for his share of the house when they separated. This woman suffers with multiple health issues and is reliant on her Centrelink Disability pension. She was impacted by the Storm in February 2024 and is still struggling to fix her bathroom and toilet at her home. out at the supermarket, and it was later found with her money taken. She is extremely distressed recently her current partner lost his employment and must service a nonpayment period before being eligible for Centrelink support. Her partner did not live with her previously as his work was some distance away. He has now had to move in with the resident as he can no longer afford the rent where he was previously. When he becomes eligible for Centrelink payments it will lead to a reduction in the residents Disability pension. The resident is very distressed and some assistance is needed.
