Isolated man with long-term mental illness needing new rug and pillow

The gentleman in need of help is long term community mental health patient who suffers from schizophrenia and has impaired function to maintain his unit and cleanliness of his home. He owns a rug in his living room that is not useable and has worn holes through in some spaces and mouldy. Unfortunately he does not have the financial position to get a new one. The rough size is around 300 x 200cm. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
