48 year old Indigenous woman with a baby and 10 year old child, currently homeless after escaping DV. She was hospitalised due to the perpetrator and continues to receive threats. Now staying with friends/family, she cannot return home as it is unsafe. Her furniture was stolen, and she’s been warned not to go back. Her children are in Child Services’ care due to her homelessness. She receives DSP for mental health issues and is in extreme financial distress. She’s living in overcrowded social housing, confined to a room with limited access to facilities. A family member has broken a window and made threats to burn the house down. She is unemployed but actively seeking work and applying for housing. A police report has been lodged for DV and theft. The current environment worsens her mental health, and she cannot afford basic daily needs. She accesses community meal services when possible. Any support for this mother would be greatly appreciated.
