Mum has already showed incredible strength and determination by fleeing with her 4 children across the country after ending an abusive relationship. She is doing an incredible job of prioritizing the children and their safety. She needs support to get back on her feet in a new town and is currently staying in short term accommodation in a single hotel room.
The littlest bub can't walk very far in the hot Broome sun so the family are stuck cooked up in the hotel room together, which is impacting on mum's ability to seek support, go to the shops, and get the kids outside to play. This is taking a huge toll on the family and on mum's mental health.
Currently most of mum's income is going towards paying the room and the family have very little extra to buy necessities like food.
Mum is Non-Indigenous, and all 4 kids are Aboriginal. She is trying her best to connect them with culture and Country.
