Affected by the February–March 2022 floods and the March 2025 tropical cyclone, the client is a single mother continues to navigate a challenging recovery journey. These events have intensified her complex PTSD, which affects her daily functioning, and overall confidence. As a result, she has been unable to pursue employment despite her strong desire to create stability for her child. Her financial hardship is significant. The costs of maintaining basic household needs, meeting her child’s daily requirements, have placed considerable pressure on her limited income through Centrelink. She is currently unable to meet additional seasonal expenses, including Christmas preparations. In this context, a grocery voucher and a gift voucher would provide essential relief. They would not only help her manage basic food needs during the festive season but also allow her to offer her child a modest Christmas gift.
