Young married couple with new born baby have recently taken on care of 15yo nephew due to concerns regarding family violence, drug use and additional caring responsibilities whilst living with his mother, her boyfriend and younger siblings. 15yo was reporting that his living circumstances were having significant impact on his emotional well being and engagement with school. 15yo also has a diagnosed disability which makes him more vulnerable.
Young couple are having significant financial stress being a young family as well as now caring for 15yo. Mum is reporting concerns regarding her own mental health since having her own baby; and trying to manage additional stressors linking 15yo in with his own support and services. There is also ongoing conflict with 15yo's family further impacting family wellbeing.
