At just 22 years old, this young mother is caring for two small children, aged two years and nine months. She has experienced homelessness for the past two years while waiting for long-term housing. Although recently placed in temporary accommodation, her situation remains unstable and could end at any moment due to available government funding.
She made a courageous decision to leave family violence, choosing safety and a different future for herself and her children. This meant breaking away from a cycle of intergenerational trauma that shaped much of her past. With limited family support and no stable housing, the journey has been emotionally and physically demanding.
Despite these challenges, she is determined to change the course of her life. She is focused on creating a safe, stable, and nurturing environment where her children can feel secure and supported. Each day, she works to rebuild her independence and create a future defined by safety, stability, and hope.
