I am writing to request assistance on behalf of a tenant who is currently experiencing significant personal and emotional challenges that have impacted her ability to maintain her tenancy and comply with recent property standards instructions.
The tenant recently underwent an annual inspection and was issued a property standards instruction requiring maintenance and upkeep. During follow-up with the Housing Services Officer, the tenant disclosed that she has experienced multiple recent losses of close family members. These losses have had a substantial emotional impact and have contributed to delays in completing the required property maintenance.
As a result, the tenant reports feeling increasingly isolated in her home and has limited access to family support due to personal and relational circumstances. Despite these challenges, she has expressed a strong commitment to maintaining her tenancy, complying with work order requirements.
