This person has come a long way- but there's still some way to go! Prior to COVID, this person was renting privately and working full time, when COVID hit, it threw his world upside down. He struggled with substance addiction and subsequently lost his housing and contact with his family. After several years of sleeping rough and struggling to overcome his substance addiction, he checked himself into a residential rehab earlier in 2024. After the 3 months there, he hasn't looked back. He is now residing at a crisis accommodation setting and waiting on his community housing property they will be available to move into in November/December! Recently, he has had some significant health issues, requiring hospitalisation for weeks at a time. This person has gone through a lot and worked very hard to get where he is, and he is now proudly almost 18 months sober. Considering such a turbulent couple of years and how hard this person has worked, they would appreciate any contributions.
