28year old woman, recently arrived in Australia from the US after escaping domestic violence. Her former partner, who works in the military, made it difficult for her to seek police support back home. Now on a working holiday visa, she is searching for stable accommodation and employment while coping with trauma and fear around men after years of abuse. She has no family or support network in Australia and often feels anxious and emotionally unstable, worried her ex may become angry about her leaving. Despite her challenges, She is determined to rebuild her life. She holds a bachelor’s degree in animal science from the US, has experience training dogs, and has previously worked as a support worker. She is actively applying for jobs and trying to regain stability. Any support offered to help this courageous woman start over safely in Australia would be greatly appreciated.
