20 year old woman rebuilding life after homelessness, mental health crisis, and loss of belongings; needs essential items.
GIVIT
20 year old woman moved suburbs 3–4 years ago after being kicked out of home by her mother. She had dropped out of school at 17 due to bullying. After time in youth refuges, she moved into public housing alone, where her mental health declined. Struggling with depression and PTSD, she became bed-bound and isolated for three years in poor living conditions.
She was recently involuntarily admitted to a mental health unit and discharged late June. After a short stay in temporary accommodation, she has now moved into a new public housing unit and is living independently.
She is supported services, and is preparing to start TAFE. She lost all belongings during her hospital stay and urgently needs clothing, a laptop, working phone, microwave, toaster, desk, chair, and television.
She is committed to rebuilding her life. Any assistance we can offer her would be greatly appreciated.
