Single mother of 2 teenage children diagnosed with special needs.
Cared for mother in mother's home until her death from cancer. Has now moved back to her own farm. During this time, she was herself diagnosed with cancer. She is currently in remission, however, has significant, debilitating side effects from the medication, resulting in soft tissue issues in joints and chronic pain.
This impacts on her ability to work and she has been unable to afford to pay for assistance (or equipment) on the property, There are significant extra education and therapeutic expenses for children and self are not covered by NDIS. Xmas 2025 and preparation for school in 2026 will be a particular struggle for this family.
