Help people with disabilities gain independence and learn new skills through work experience
GIVIT
Our organisation employs over 400 people with disabilities from Melbourne's South East, helping improve financial independence and build skills to help them in not only their careers but in life. 90% of our supported employees have intellectual disabilities. and we strive to co-collaborate with our team to ensure that the bespoke needs of our team are met to help them thrive. For anyone touched by disability, you will understand the importance of providing people with equal opportunities. We fundraise to supplement our supported employees commercial business so we can offer training, programs and create special activities that promote inclusion and community.
Our workmates range in age from 18 year old school leavers, to mature people in their 60's. Despite best intentions, there are limited opportunities for people with disabilities to work in open employment due to a general lack of understanding. We actively support our team in sourcing opportunities for them in a variety of roles.
