The recipient is an 18-year-old, Aboriginal woman who is pregnant with her first baby. She grew up under Department care and lacks secure support networks and faces financial insecurity. She was going to start an apprenticeship in construction this year before finding out that she was pregnant, and so employment seeking has been put on hold. The recipient is a motived young person who wants to best for her baby and is keen to get baby items organised and ready for baby boy's arrival in Oct 2025, however she does not have the financial means to obtain these items.
