Starting fresh and eager to get back into the workforce

This client has demonstrated strong resilience and motivation to change his life. He experienced a traumatic upbringing , a victim of serious violence and other abuse- he later turned to substance use to cope. He spent time in custody and struggled to maintain stability in the community.
The loss of a close person while incarcerated became a turning point. He has since completed a residential rehabilitation program and is currently engaged in an intensive outpatient program. He has been abstinent for more than 6 months, and remains engaged in counselling for relapse prevention and PTSD-related mental health concerns.
The client is temporarily staying with a family member due to homelessness. Despite this, he has shown initiative by establishing a garden maintenance business, currently with one official client and additional unpaid work supporting elderly community members with their lawns.
