Beloved community members have lost everything in a tragic housefire.
GIVIT
A devastating fire has destroyed the home of beloved members of the community. The house they lost was built from reclaimed timber, sourced from their property and built by hand over 15 years. It is irreplaceable. Also residing with them was their daughter and two young grandchildren, who have also lost everything. The father is a talented artist, and has now lost over five decades of work, sketches, photos, architectural designs, along with two memoirs and a book that they had written that was getting ready to be published.
They are active members of the close-knit community, having worked on many local committees including the Community Centre, District Planning Committee, Landcare & art projects.
Right now, they are highly traumatised and emotional and are struggling to even talk about the incident. We would really appreciate any help for this family to support them after the loss of a lifetime of work.
