My client is a young Indian woman who moved to Busselton with her 4 year old son after fleeing a domestic violent relationship with her husband. My client is working under a 491 (Skilled Work Regional) visa which does not allow her eligibility for childcare subsidy or other government benefits. Due to contacting a viral infection recently, she has needed to take two weeks off work with no pay. Compounding her financial stress she has been charged with an ambulance bill of 1200 dollars. My client would benefit from financial support for food/petrol or clothes for her son so that she can get back on her feet again.
