Mother of 2 school aged children caring for now disabled and vision impaired husband with blood cancer.

Father from rural NSW diagnosed with an aggressive blood cancer early 2024 and has had to travel frequently for treatment to Newcastle as well as relocate to Sydney twice. Has also had to return to Sydney with severe complications, and each time they have to travel they are forced to leave their young teenage children at home.
Mother and father had no leave entitlements and have struggled financially to make ends meet since diagnosis. Father has suffered many severe and life-threatening complications and due to an infection is now blind.
Mother is struggling with carer burnout and suffering frequent panic attacks. She is not able to work due to her caring commitments, though tries to work in a cafe once per week for some respite and extra money.
Any assistance at this time would mean they are able to buy something for, and support their children, who are struggling with their mother and father's prolonged treatment away from home and disability.
