First Nations Support
A resilient young teenager has faced more challenges than many will in a lifetime. At just 13, she escaped family violence and entered crisis accommodation, where she spent two years navigating adolescence without the stability of family or a safe home. Despite this, she showed remarkable determination—continuing her education and even maintaining a casual job while living in crisis care. Now, at 15, she has been offered her first safe and stable home. For the first time, she can look to the future with a sense of security and belonging. This turning point offers her the chance to focus on school, build independence, and create a space that truly feels like her own. But making a house a home takes more than just a key. With support, she can furnish her space, stock her pantry, and begin to heal from the uncertainty of her past. Helping her now means giving her not only stability, but the hope and confidence to thrive in the next chapter of her life.
