Man with a brain injury and a disability was flood affected and needing some assistance
Flooding 2022
At the time of the flood he had a rented room in this house, the flood came up to the ceiling of the second floor. All his possessions were lost or destroyed. He was in temporary accommodation in a caravan with his father for just over a year. Then he was in unstable and temporary accommodation. In December 2021, before the flood, he was hit by a car, his injuries were so bad that he was entitled to compensation. The compensation finally came through in June 2024 and he used it to buy a house. After making the house habitable there is now very little left for appliances and household things. He is on a Job Seeker's Allowance. The accident has left him with an acquired brain injury and physical disability issues.
