Our program is currently supporting a lovely 63‑year‑old woman who has recently relocated to the ACT after leaving her marriage, where she experienced long‑term financial and coercive control. She has shown admirable initiative by independently securing a one‑bedroom rental property; however, due to limited savings and a low income, she does not have the financial capacity to furnish her home.
She requires all essential household items, including homewares, whitegoods, and basic furnishings, to make her new flat safe and liveable. Any financial assistance provided would be directed entirely toward establishing her new home and supporting her as she begins her fresh start.
