Our service is supporting a 30 year old Aboriginal woman who is a mother of four children. Two of her children are being cared for in foster care placements, one in a family placement and she has her youngest in her care. She has experienced significant trauma in her life, including child abuse/neglect and her own experience of the foster care system. She has recently experienced domestic violence and is currently re-establishing safety. Our client is wanting to purchase gifts for her children this Christmas, to ensure they feel loved and connected to her. She is experiencing financial hardship and is unable to afford to buy presents.
