Due to limited finances (Centrelink income) and current unemployment this young man is unable to save funds or access the means to replace his faulty washing machine. The recent purchase of a second hand fridge has resulted in an infestation of cockroaches that arrived with the fridge which has brought with it additional costs for the fumagation and ongoing pest management. Finances are well managed but just do not stretch to cover replacement of necessary household items.
