I am writing in support of a single mother and her five children who are currently experiencing significant hardship

The family was recently relocated to a safe house due to serious domestic violence, during which the ex-husband — a veteran — physically assaulted and burned the mother in front of her children. The incident resulted in police intervention and an emergency exit from the family home. Due to the immediate safety risk, the mother and children were forced to flee without any belongings and without their family dog, who the children remain deeply distressed about leaving behind.
The mother is raising her children alone, including her youngest daughter (10), who lives with a disability. She currently home schools her two youngest children (ages 10 and 12) due to their complex needs and the instability created by ongoing safety concerns.
Despite significant trauma, this mother shows resilience and strength. the level of crisis and displacement means she now requires additional support to ensure her family’s safety, wellbeing, and stability. Xmas support also requested
