Grocery items - non-perishable only

Client is a young (21) Aboriginal woman who is currently homeless and frequently engages in risky behaviors in order to obtain money. She has been involved with the criminal justice system and mental health services since an early age. She has an unenviable history of abuse and exploitation and is wary of any attempt from service providers to assist her. She is connected to our service through her brushes with the law and will present at the office for coffee and cookies and usually some financial support. She would benefit from some basic needs such as vouchers for groceries, gift certificates to secondhand clothing stores and from occasional hotel stay opportunities. Although her prognosis is somewhat guarded, there is hope she can connect with the service and parlay that into accepting other forms of assistance.
