This resident and her partner lost everything in the 2022 Floods, they have managed to get most things back except his work Tools and some paint to paint the front of the house. This couple have done really well to get back to where they are now without any help but as the husband is also struggling with a few limited tools it makes it difficult.
The place that they live had water up to chest high and many people were caught unaware as it happened during the night, so residents didn't have time to try and move anything to higher ground. They had to wait until the waters receded and then the re homes dried out before they could start the process of removing everything as it had all been soaked with toxic flood water and for health reasons.
