I have been supporting a community member who has had a mini breakdown after 4years as she has been supporting the broader community and hasn't helped herself. The community member lost everything in the flood and still has the same mattresses that went through the 2022 flood which is creating mold which in turn put mold on her linen which has also had to be thrown out due to the fact that she was supporting other residents in the park and has only now had a chance to stop and take 5 minutes to look out for herself and her son
The frame of the beds were thrown out as they collapsed and this has all taken a toll on her mental and general health. She is trying to get herself back on track but has struggled to afford a mattress frame and linen.
