As Christmas approaches, one hardworking family of six is struggling to keep their heads above water. The father works tirelessly in construction to support his wife and their three daughters, aged 8, 10, and 18. Despite suffering a serious work injury last year, he continues to push through the pain, determined to provide for his family. His recovery has been slow, and he faces ongoing physical challenges, but with no other source of income, he has no choice but to keep working long hours.
The mother, a devoted homemaker, spends her days caring for their daughters and managing the household. Having recently arrived in Australia, she is still settling into a new environment and is not yet eligible for Centrelink support, placing even more financial pressure on the family.
Every dollar the father earns goes toward rent, food, and basic necessities, leaving little room for anything extra.
