We’re supporting a young single mother of four who has survived domestic violence and is now living in government housing. Her home is plagued by severe mould inside and out. Despite her repeated pleas, only a partial roof repair was done, and it still leaks. The mould has forced her to throw out her three-year-old son’s mattress and the family lounge. Her children are frequently unwell, and she believes the damp, unhealthy environment is a major cause.
With winter approaching, the family is left without a lounge to sit on and the youngest child has no mattress to sleep on. This mum is doing her best, but the situation is overwhelming.
We’re reaching out to help this family get through the colder months in comfort and dignity. Any support would make a world of difference.
