Young person with disability would like a camera to support his interest
GIVIT
My client is a young person who arrived in Australia two years ago as a refugee. He has a physical and intellectual disability. He lives with his parents and siblings who are supportive of him. However, caring and looking after a young person with disability isn't easy. My client was only recently approved for NDIS, which is a huge relief for the family as they are experiencing financial hardship, and have not been able to support him completely in his interests and hobbies.
My client's disabilities haven't stopped him from living to the fullest. He loves going out and experiencing the world. He wants to learn English now that he has a better support system. Another interest of his is photography and videography. Using his phone, he has captured many joyous family moments and have turned these to video clips complete with music. He wants to do more but his family cannot afford better equipment for him.
