Baby born with a disability
GIVIT
Born premature in June and was an inpatient at the children's hospital NICU for several months. Born with a life limiting cardiac condition along with a rare genetic condition. She was discharged home under palliative care but has remained stable in the community. She has a younger brother aged 4. Mum and dad are still coming to terms with the prognosis and have been unable to work due to the care she requires, coupled with ongoing hospital admissions and trying to care for their 4-year-old. The family are under a lot of stress both emotionally and financially and have no family support in the town they live in. Parents are unable to return to work due their current circumstances and will benefit from some financial support at this difficult time.
