Mum re-establishing her family of 4 children requiring short term financial support until ongoing income is secured
I am supporting a mum and her 4 young children. The mum experienced significant hardship, including domestic violence, early in her parenting journey, resulting in the older 2 children being cared for by family. The mum has since left that relationship and found stability through the support of other services. As a result, the older children have recently returned to the mum's full time care. While this is a welcome and much wanted outcome, the change in living arrangements has occurred more rapidly than anticipated, placing an unexpected emotional and financial strain on the family. The mum continues to be supported by services to navigate the paperwork for legal changes required for housing and finances. During this time providing financial support towards groceries, fuel, household items, and Christmas shopping will contribute to further relieving the mum's financial burden of being able to re-establish herself and her children as a family unit.
