GIVIT
A 10 year old boy has been battling cancer for the past 12 months. The family living regionally and must travel long distances for care, so instead, they have been separated... living apart to try and save their son. Mum with the seriously ill child in a major city, Dad and 3 other children some 600kms away.
This has placed the family under enormous financial pressure, mum not working, dad dropping back to part-time to function and support his healthy children. Plus the emotional and psychological trauma of the unknown, the time apart, the 'what if's...'
Christmas was hard for so many reasons... including the reality that it could be the last one. January and the return to school is looming and feels impossible with mounting expenses, bills and school items.
