A single mother and her Aboriginal child have recently relocated from a regional country town to Perth in an effort to establish a safer and more stable future. The mother is a survivor of high-risk family violence, including incidents of non-fatal strangulation, which significantly impacted her sense of safety and prompted the urgent need to leave her former community. Her decision to relocate demonstrates considerable courage and a strong commitment to protecting her child from further harm.
Since arriving in Perth, the family has been working to rebuild their lives; however, they are currently experiencing financial hardship. The mother is seeking financial assistance to help cover essential costs such as securing safe accommodation, purchasing household essentials, and meeting day-to-day living expenses. This support will provide much-needed stability during a period of transition and allow the mother to focus on creating a secure home environment for her child.
