Furniture Support for Elderly Woman Entering Social Housing

This request is on behalf of an elderly woman who has experienced homelessness and significant housing instability.
The client relocated from interstate and, due to having no other housing options, was forced to live in a friend’s garage with her adult daughter, who is her full-time carer. This arrangement was temporary and unsuitable, particularly given the client’s age and care needs.
The client has now been approved for social housing and will be moving into her new property shortly. However, she has limited financial resources and requires assistance to meet basic needs during this transition period.
Support in the form of food vouchers and essential household items (such as pantry staples, toiletries, cleaning products, and basic household supplies) would greatly assist the client to settle safely and with dignity into her new home.
Any assistance provided will have a significant positive impact on the client’s wellbeing and ability to maintain stable housing.
