Single mother of two children under 8, one diagnosed with ASD Level 2, ADHD and low muscle tone, and the other currently awaiting assessment for ASD and ADHD. She is also caring for her 2-year-old niece, adding to her already significant caregiving responsibilities. Mum is experiencing financial hardship due to rising cost-of-living pressures, including housing, utilities, food and medical expenses related to her children’s additional needs. The ongoing demands of appointments, therapies and daily care have impacted her ability to maintain stable employment. She is also facing challenges with her own mental health and overall wellbeing as she works to support her children’s emotional, developmental and behavioural needs with limited supports.
