Our service is supporting an Aboriginal mother who has three children, two are older and her youngest daughter is in Foster Care. She lost her daughter at birth and has experienced significant grief and loss associated with forcible child removal. She was in a domestic violence relationship and experienced homelessness for most of her life. She has recently tried to reconnect with her daughter and would like to send her a gift and card in an effort to reconnect. She has limited reading and writing skills and so reconnection through letter writing has always been a barrier to her but now she has our support we will be assisting her to reconnect in the way the foster agency has suggested.
