Our organisation is working with a 45 year old Somalian born man who is a devout Muslim. This gentleman moved to Australia alone when he was 18 in order to provide for his family back home. He separated from his wife and 3 young daughters and found himself homeless at the beginning of COVID.
This brave recipient, has cycled through homelessness and unsafe rooming houses for the past 5 years, all the while missing out on invaluable time with his daughters and supporting their development. He has recently moved into a public housing property. However, due to the cycle of moving from place to place, has no furniture to make his place truly feel like a home for himself and his girls.
He is thrilled to finally have a safe home for himself and his children, who are now living between his place and their mothers home close by. He would be so grateful for any support you are able to provide so he can furnish his home.
