GIVIT
This request is to help someone adopt a dog they’ve been fostering through the WA Pet Project. The individual lives with severe anxiety and before fostering, rarely left their home. Since caring for this dog, their life has changed significantly they now go on daily walks, have more structure, and feel emotionally supported.
Encouraged by their GP and mental health team, the client has made remarkable progress in their recovery. The bond between them and the dog is strong and the dog is clearly thriving in their care. They live in a stable home, understand the long-term commitment of pet ownership, and can afford ongoing costs like food and care.
However, they are unable to cover the upfront adoption costs, so we are asking for grocery vouchers to try help them be able to afford the adoption costs.
