A single Afghan refugee mother with a vision impairment is seeking a laptop to assist her to study and rugs to help prepare her home for winter. She is unable to access traditional course materials due to her vision impairment and requires a laptop to engage meaningfully and learn English. She will use the laptop for the zoom feature and to participate in online classes as she also finds it difficult to use public transport independently. As the family are struggling financially, she has no means to purchase this item herself and will be grateful for any support. The family have experienced one winter in Canberra and would like to prepare for the next one. They are seeking rugs to insulate their floors.
