Our Consumer is a courageous woman facing the harsh realities of financial abuse from her husband. Despite her best efforts to care for her family, her husband controls all financial resources, leaving her with no access to money. She is keen to become more independent and have access to more services and find employment but has some transport barriers. She has gained her Learner's Permit and would like to get her drivers' licence however cannot fit lessons into her budget, nor does she have anyone in her life that can assist with this. We believe obtaining her drivers' licence will provide her with the confidence of achievement as well as help her break free from this cycle of abuse and gain independence. We are hoping that we can help her obtain a voucher for driving lessons and, your support will empower her to break free from the cycle of coercive control, provide better opportunities for her children, and move towards a self-sufficient and hopeful future.
