This single mother faces countless barriers - significant trauma, mental health challenges, several disabilities, and is the full-time carer of her son (7, Aboriginal) who has just recently been reunified into her care. The young boy has also experienced trauma in his short life, has multiple diagnoses including autism and ADHD, and presents with extremely challenging behaviour. Despite their challenges, this family has an exceptional bond and connection to one another. Mum is finding it difficult to keep up financially with her son returning to her care, especially coming into the holidays, and is unable to work due to her disabilities.
