Essential supplies for women and children attending our community playgroup living in public housing
GIVIT
For many women and their children living in public housing, safe and welcoming community spaces are scarce. To help bridge this gap, the team at our onsite not-for-profit opens up our small office space one afternoon per week, creating a much-needed playgroup where women can connect, and children can play in a supportive and safe environment.
Many of these women are new arrivals, single parents, or have experienced/experiencing family violence and financial hardship. Each week, the group continues to grow, and as trust builds, we hear firsthand the struggles of stretching limited resources to meet even the most basic needs.
Providing vouchers for essentials like nappies, wipes, pantry staples, and hygiene products ensures that no mother has to go without for her child. Every contribution—big or small—goes directly to supporting these families.
